We love the latest collaboration in HOBBS’ award-winning series with Historic Royal Palaces which has been inspired by three prominent 18th century princesses – Caroline, Augusta and Charlotte – and their passion for botany and nature.
Caroline, Augusta and Charlotte were three prominent influential princesses who married into the British royal family in the 18th century. They influenced court culture with their intellectual interests and were keen supporters of national textile industries. The ‘Enlightened Princesses’ will be celebrated in a new exhibition launching at Kensington Palace in June, and we can’t wait to get our hands on these beautiful pieces – perfect addition to our Summer wardrobes!
From the beautiful butterfly-print royal-blue dress that’s perfect for making an entrance, to the eye-catching Gardenia tailored trousers and co-ordinating jacket, blooming with florals, each piece represents the princesses’ passion for the natural world.
Hand-painted butterflies and intricate floral embroidery sit across beautiful silk separates and the soft pleats of maxi dresses, evoking the beauty of Kensington Palace’s acres of garden. Elegant yet contemporary shapes and directional details ensure each piece is a treasure for your collection.
