This Year’s Best Dressed at the Cannes Film Festival
We love a star studded event here at YCB, a chance for us to all cast our fashion eye over the A listers stunning looks, as well as a few faux pas. Whilst the magical 12 day Cannes Film Festival is now over, we’ve had a couple of days to reflect on some of the ‘wow’ looks we spied on the French Riveria. We saw some truly beautiful looks this year, and a few erm, more interesting outfit choices! We’ve rounded up our belles of the ball, and here are our favourite fashion moments from the Cannes Film Festival..
1. Aishwarya Rai in Michael Cinco
If there ever were a real life Disney princess this would be it! Channelling those Cinderella vibes, Aishwarya Rai looks absolutely magnificent in this beautiful couture gown. Can you believe this actress is 43 years of age? She looked absolutely fantastic and definitely stole our attention, dramatic yet still remaining chic and elegant.
2. Bella Hadid in Dior
We’re major Bella fan girls in the YCB office, those legs though! We were totally flawed by all of Bella’s outfits but particularly her Dior look, this girl can certainly work red. We loved the quilted gown, slicked back hair and daring shade of rouge. Tres belle, Miss Hadid.
3. Emily Ratajkowksi in Twinset
Understated, sexy and feminine, we just loved this silk slip that Emily styled from Twinset. Working just perfectly with the statement necklace, this nude, barely-there dress looked just stunning on Em Rata, although with a body and face like that – it’s not all that hard to look like a goddess!
4. Fan Bingbing in Elie Saab
We’re big fans of Elie Saab’s floaty numbers, and this long-length blue gown was so no exception. Fan Bingbing looked ethereal in this beautiful silk chiffon number. Teamed with a statement clutch and waist belt, this look was right on the money, and has left us wondering when we might get to dress up in an Elie Saab design? A girl can dream…
5. Winnie Harlow in Zuhair Murad Couture
Wow, Winnie absolutely bossed this striking blue look from Zuhair Murad Couture. The dramatic gown with a sharp v neck detail looked every inch Cannes glamour, as did Winnie herself. One of our favourite look from the festival, and one we won’t forget in a hurry!
6. Jessica Chastain in Givenchy
We just adore this lilac Givenchy dress, featuring a gorgeous intricate beading detail and an interesting bottom half! Jessica, lilac is definitely your colour – we LOVE!
7. Elle Fanning in Gucci
We are 100% obsessed with this stunning Gucci dress, how cute is that flower detailing?! We couldn’t pick a better model for this number than Elle, who looked naturally beautiful and rocked it like no other could. The pretty pastel green, embellishment, flowers and deep cut ticked all of our fashion boxes.
8. Lottie Moss in Ermanno Scervino
Lottie definitely takes after her big sis when it comes to the style stakes. This Ermanno Scervino dress is beautiful we loved the sheer dealing and teamed with a classic red lip and playful clutch to finish off a practically perfect look!
9. Jourdan Dunn in Jonathan Simkhai
We love how Jourdan has mixed it up with this super cool embellished, beaded jumpsuit from Jonathan Simkhai. The perfect glamorous look for an evening in Cannes, Jourdan looked effortlessly chic and we loved her hair and makeup!
10. Diane Kruger in Christian Dior
We’re long-time Diane Kruger fan girls, and we adored this elegant look from Christian Dior. Diane looked simply dreamy in this layered gown with cute embroidery detailing. With her hair tied back in a simple pony, this understated yet standout look was one of our favourites!
