September has always been one of our favourite times of the year. After three months of Summer days and rose filled nights, we have been looking forward to the beginning of a new school year, getting back to work, the Fashion Weeks and all the Fall fashion, and of course also the shameless countdown to the holidays.
What better time to stock up on professional handbags to show off at work?
Ruigrok van der Werven is the perfect accessory to accompany anyone on their way to work, night out or for just every day of the week.
Founded by Denise Ruigrok van der Werven, they are a new handbag label that is based in The Netherlands that focus on luxury handbags in vegetable tanned leather. Made in Italy, their first collection is very much focused on handles and straps, which we absolutely love right now.
There is minimum hardware and it is all about the clean and polished look with its smooth smooth leather in contrast to the cotton canvas. Let’s get to it!
The Bucket Bags are just the start of something new this fall. We are FALLing in love with them. Ruigrok van der Werven’s take on their classic bucket bags with a smooth finish. The strap detail is one thing we love about this particular bag.
The unique feature of the knots on both sides makes this a trendy grab before stepping out the door. Coming in obviously black, but also in light grey and winter pink; two perfect colours to take out if you are one of us and stick to the neutrals. We approve of the pop of colour for this bag.
The Shoulder Bag would be our ideal bag to bring to work. It is just about big enough to fit a notepad and all the fixings for a workday and small enough where it won’t bump into people while you are commuting or get too heavy. Plus, it looks amazing with any outfit and just about shapes it together in the end.
The long strap is an added bonus because not only is it convenient to hold, it also is super cute with the knot detail at the top. They come in black and light grey, and ready for their debut outside immediately!
The Top Handle bag is honestly so stylish and chic that we want one right now. The Soft Beige bag has a unique shape and is a fresh fashion find for this fall season. The beige colour is soft enough but not too summary to bring out and about.
The Hot Caramel Top Handle has a different pattern on the top, kind of a checkered black and white pattern; that only enhances the style and colour of the caramel undertone.
For our absolute favorite colour of this season, Olive Green; which is the all star here. It is a little smaller than the other two top handles, but also has a zipper on the outside and a black knotted handle. Super trendy and on point for going out with your girlfriends over the weekend because it fits just enough to sustain the nights festivities. Not to mention that it is perfect to carry and looks amazing accompanied by any outfit or date.
Last but not least, The Backpack. A favourite for all ages, this backpack is super cute. With a black and white cotton canvas and a soft tanned leather pocket in the front, it is convenient, stylish and is totally workday or weekend vibes.
All interior’s of Ruigrok van der Werven’s bags are black and white print with zip pockets and SUPER CUTE AND FRESH. We like to elaborate on the word fresh because we haven’t seen many bags like this out and about and completely love them.
