We are moving full steam ahead into awards season with The Critics Choice Awards. Similar to The Golden Globes, there was no major sweeper and we even saw a few ties. The Favourite took home a few along with A Quiet Place, Vice and Lady Gaga won (along with Glenn Close) for her work in A Star is Born.
As for television, Barry had a good night along with Sandra Oh for her work in Killing Eve as well as the actresses in Sharp Objects. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel also had a marvelous night winning Best Comedy and acting awards for Rachel Brosnahan and Alex Borstein. See the full list of winners here.
White and off white was clearly a favorite colour for attendees but some ladies brought some colour to the event like Regina King, Emmy Rossum, Kristen Bell and Connie Britton.
Claire Foy opted for pants and looked absolutely chic in Celine by Hedi Slimane.
Charlize Theron was stunning in this shimmery Givenchy gown.
Lady Gaga was truly ethereal in this gorgeous white Calvin Klein gown.
Mandy Moore also opted for white in this sleek Michael Kors dress.
Nicole Kidman went classic again in a black and white dress.
Emily Blunt not only looked amazing but also got to hear and watch her husband make a beautiful tribute to her when their film, A Quiet Place, won for best sci-fi/horror film. “I got to make a movie about a love story and a love letter to my kids. I got to do it with the love of my life by my side, so I’m pretty sure it doesn’t get much better than that. Thank you so much.”
Rachel Brosnahan also went with the white colour theme of the night in her beautiful suit.
Amandla Stenberg made a bold statement in her gorgeous red gown.
Emmy Rossum also went for a bold look with her plush velvet gown and lip shade.
And Crazy Rich Asians star Awkwafina brought some sparkle to the night with her dress.
