The CFDA recognizes the best of the best in the world of fashion so you can expect that everyone attended definitely brought it. Some of the big winners of the night, which was held at The Brooklyn Museum earlier last week, included:
Jennifer Lopez who was honored with the prestigious CFDA Fashion Icon Award in honor of her “longstanding and global impact on fashion.”
Brandon Maxwell was named Womenswear Designer of the Year and Rick Owens was named Menswear Designer of the Year.
Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen, The Rowwere named Accessory Designers of the Year.
Carine Roitfeld received the Founders Award. She was the Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Paris for eight years and now runs CR Studios.
The legendary Bob Mackie received the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award.
Plus Barbie (yes, you heard right) received the Board of Directors’ Tribute. Hey, she’s a doctor, an astronaut and a rocket scientist and she wears heels while doing it. She should be given all the awards.
And now for the outfits!
Lili Reinhart continued the suit dress trend in Wes Gordon and Jennifer Meyer jewelry.
Yara Shahidi looked incredible in Monse.
Barrier breaking model Halima Aden wore Tommy Hilfiger and custom Nigora Tabayer jewelry.
Shailene Woodley looked stunning in Jonathan Simkhai (and also continued the suit trend.)
Jennifer Lopez said “It’s all about the Bronx tonight.” in Ralph Lauren Collection and Harry Winston jewelry.
Gigi Hadid wore so much clothing yet still looked amazing in Off-White and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.
Bella Hadid wore less clothing in Michael Kors Collection and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.
Ashley Graham rocked it in Christian Siriano.
Bebe Rexha stunned in Angelys Balek.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen wore their own line, The Row, and, of course, it was black. They looked like very elegant tiny witches. This was their fifth-ever CFDA Award.
