8 of the Biggest Trends for Spring 2020

September 19, 2019

New York Fashion Week just wrapped and London is in full throttle which means we are getting glimpses of what the big trends will be for Spring 2020. Though some are a bit predictable many of them are utterly surprising and delightful. Take a look and get shopping.

Fringe

Good news! Fringe will be in in the spring! It’s just so fun and adds a little bit of joy to your life and your outfit. Christian Siriano and Oscar de la Renta were all about the fringe.

White suits

A cool, white suit dominated the runways of Adeam and Tory Burch as did just entire ensembles of colors like we saw at Sies Marjan. Better make sure you like your color.

Half and Half

But maybe choosing one colour is just too hard! So why not wear two at the same time. Ensembles that look like a work of art were all over the runways of Sally LaPointe and Cynthia Rowley.

Bra Tops

Good news, wearing your bra as a top is still considered high fashion according to Cynthia Rowley.

Beige

Though we saw some really fun colours like sherbert and mint green, but beige was also a big colour on the runways as we saw at Burberry, Oscar de la Renta and Ryan Roche.

Bows and Ruffles

We may have reached peak 90’s saturation so let’s explore the 80s! It was such a wonderful decade of over-accentuated everything as compared to 90s minimalism. On the runways of Christian Cown and Cong Tri we saw some major bows but let’s not forget the ruffles, specifically pink ruffles as Marc Jacobs showed us.

Puff Sleeves

And speaking of over-accentuated things puff sleeves will still be big in the spring as we saw at Tory Burch and Carolina Herrera.

Vests

A suit is such a commitment so why not opt for a vest? They were huge at Tibi and Cynthia Rowley.
