Katie Holmes will be showing her fashion line for the first time at New York Fashion Week today September 12th.
The actress turned designer shares design company, Holmes & Yang, with Jeanne Yang and will be showing her S/S 2013 collection in the Lincoln Centre this year, proving that she is very much a serious designer.
After a long year, miss Holmes PR team have warned media companies that the Holmes & Yang catwalk show will be a very exclusive event and that security will be tight.
The actress, who was recently divorced from Tom Cruise, is said to be very nervous about the catwalk show today, as she’s worried she may not be taken as seriously as other designers. But we are sure that she will do just fine!
The collection is said to feature garments in neutral tones, black, navy, cream and white in luxurious fabrics like leathers and silk. It has been said that the aim of the clothing line is to make the pieces comfortable and versatile.
The Holmes & Yang collection features a women’s line and girl’s line.
