Surprise! Alexander McQueen will show its menswear collection at London Fashion Week A/W 2013.
The British Fashion Council confirmed today that the british brand will be showcasing their main menswear collection in London for the first time in eight years.
The fashion house is a usual event at the Milan Fashion Week but will be held in London this year, due to being chosen as a part of the London Collections: Menswear.
Jonathan Akeroyd, CEO, Alexander McQueen, commented “It’s great to be showing our menswear mainline as part of London Collections: Men, especially with London being the home of Alexander McQueen and our first dedicated menswear store opening on Savile Row this autumn.’’
Founder of the company Alexander McQueen was born and bred London but sadly took his own life in February 2010.
The British Fashion Council website stated that London Collections: Men launched in June 2012 as the inaugural showcase of menswear in Britain, encompassing a diverse mix of designers, spanning emerging through to the established.
The London Collection Menswear will run from January 7 to January 9 2013.
