Once described by Helmut Newton as a “fashion maniac”, Anna Dello Russo’s accessories line for H&M hits selected stores worldwide, tomorrow, October 4.
Dello Russo’s collaboration with H&M marks the first time the Swedish brand has ever worked with a style icon rather than a designer.
Inspired by her personal vintage assortment of accessories, the editor at large and creative consultant for Vogue Japan has created a 50-piece collection including jewellery, sunglasses, shoes and bags.
“There is something feisty and over the top in this collection,” Anna Dello Russo said. “Our customers will find it incredibly exciting and extravagant, with a precious vintage feel. Mostly gold, it is truly spectacular: these pieces will give a new life to everyone’s wardrobe. The idea is to have luxury that you can play with, at an affordable price.”
With fashion week season ending and Dello Russo’s accessories line aiming to recreate what it’s like to travel to Fashion Weeks around the world her collaboration with H&M hits stores at no better time.
While Dello Russo predominantly designs her jewellery, sunglasses, shoes and bags in hues of gold she does add fun details with snake and crocodile animal motifs and pops of turquoise and orange colour. Dello Russo’s pet dog even makes a surprise appearance in the clasp of one of her clutch bags.
