Treat Dad to Breakfast in Bed for Father’s Day Without Lifting a Finger
Treat dad to breakfast in bed for Father’s Day without lifting a finger
It’s early in the morning and the rays of sunlight sheepishly wake you up as they beat into your room through the shutters. You stretch your arms out from under the covers and smile with satisfaction as you think of the fresh coffee and buttery croissants that will greet you into a brand new day. There’s just one problem, and that’s that you have to get up and actually make the meal, before you can enjoy it.
Or do you?
It’s no rumour that breakfast is the most important meal. A nutrient rich breakfast kicks off your day and you spend the next 15 hours running on the energy it filled you with in the morning. The team at Breakfast in Bed knows that the breakfast you have in the morning sets the tone for the rest of your day, and they’ve cooked up a service that we can’t wait to tell you about!
With Father’s Day just around the corner, many of us struggle to come up with ideas for the perfect present. This year, rather than settling for the same socks or aftershave, why not show your dad how much he means to you by surprising him with delicious and festive breakfast in bed?
“We’ve had requests in the past to send people special breakfasts for birthdays, proposals and particularly on Mother’s Day. Father’s should be celebrated too so we decided to offer customers the opportunity to send their Father’s breakfast,” says Jo Loxton, Co-Founder of Breakfast in Bed.
Pick something from their delicious menu and give your dad the gift of fresh coffee, a yummy meal and your daughterly love – without having to lift a finger.
Their best recipes are conjured up and ingredients are discovered with help from the New Covent Garden Market. These cooks from heaven make everything themselves, and why wouldn’t they? Everything tastes better when it’s homemade!
With Father’s Day coming up, the topic of gifts became a big focus in our interview with Jo. From speaking with the beautiful lady behind the brand, we covered stories about the best and worst gifts on this festive day – and if you need some inspiration on picking out the very best for dad, Jo helps out by giving some insight into their order stream.
Apparently, both the best and the most popular gift on their menu is the Works butty – homemade granola with juicy berries and Greek yoghurt, along with a fresh juice. Jo wouldn’t stop there, though. In her opinion, personalizing her own dad’s Father’s day breakfast is perfect with an extra cup of coffee. She would later take him out for a walk along the Thames, but rumour has it Breakfast in Bed is introducing lunches into their menu soon! So maybe next year, a walk along the London river and then a hearty meal afterwards would better suit your schedules.
Jo and her team wanted to do something special for all the daughters celebrating with their fathers this day, so they’re offering a coupon code this year. Ladies, keep in mind that for now, Breakfast in Bed delivers to W9, W10, W11 and parts of W2, NW10 & NW6 between 8am-1pm, Friday to Sunday, and if you’d like to take advantage of the 10% discount on Father’s Day breakfast deliveries, make sure to place your order by Saturday June 20th, and include the code “Father-10” at the checkout when doing so.
Visit Breakfast in Bed to place your order, and include a personalized message in the notes section. These messages will be printed onto Breakfast in Bed cards and included in the bag on delivery. Just make sure to include the recipient’s full address and telephone number!
When the orders are done we can all go to bed and anticipate the morning when we can share a photo of our wake-up meals on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and tag it with #BreakfastinBed. Frankly, going to sleep has never been more exciting now that we know we can wake up to breakfast in bed…
