If there’s one thing that makes a house feel like a home it’s your favourite scent filling your apartment with memories and that feeling of home comforts. After a busy day running around the city, we love nothing more than coming home for a relaxing long soak in the bath, followed by a pamper evening with our favourite products and a beautiful candle flickering away in the background. You can never have too many candles, and don’t let anyone ever tell you different!
Our go-to candle brand here in the YCB office this Summer is the luxurious Aroma Holiday who have quite honestly created the most gorgeous scents we’ve ever had the pleasure of burning. Paris
Oh Paris, the city of love and one of our favourite European destinations to spend with our loved ones. Afternoons spent meandering around Montmartre stopping for a croissant before heading to our favourite boutiques, pure bliss. The scent itself is a combination of white flowers, geranium and rose. The light floral fragrance is simply perfect for summer, our favourite is the deluxe 3 wick candle which looks just gorgeous perched on our coffee table with a fresh bunch of flowers.
New York
Another city that very much has our hearts is the one and only New York City. There’s no other city quite like it, and from romantic strolls around Central Park to the hustle and bustle of Times Square to the quirky boutiques in Brooklyn, we just adore this city.
Bring the Big Apple into your home with this gorgeous candle featuring top notes of spiced apple (of course) and cinnamon supported by slightly nutty nuances of warm chestnut and hints of dark roasted coffee.
A fresh cup of coffee and bagel in New York is the best way to spend a morning in our opinion, but for now we’ll enjoy burning this candle in our London homes.
Dubai
We’re moving onto hotter climates now with the ever wonderful Dubai. Indulgent, glamorous and luxurious are three words that spring to mind when we think of Dubai and we think this candle captures those very well!
If rich woody fragrances are your thing then this is most certainly the candle for you. This luxurious base of amber and soft woods offers a strong and distinctive scent for your home.

Tokyo
For a light floral fragrance look no further than office-favourite Tokyo, whilst this is not somewhere we’ve been (yet!) if this beautiful scent is anything to go by, we’re there! Beautiful magnolia cherry blossoms and supporting notes of dry Himalayan bamboo, resting on a woody base have made for a simply stunning fragrance. Ideal for the summer months, we’ve been burning this scent during a mid-week pamper session.
Heraklion
Oh Greece, one of our favourite summer destinations for crystal clear blue waters, white sandy beaches and plenty of r&r! The capital of Crete, this beautiful city boasts beautiful architecture and a lovely port. Bring a slice of lovely Greece home with the beautiful scent of orange groves. A sweet, floral accord with sparkling top note of lemon verbena and aromatic green olive, lading to a heart of sweet orange blossom on a base of rich woods, we have to say this scent is one of our absolute favourites.
Rio
Transport yourself to the lively Rio carnival with dominant notes of sweet mango and papaya, supported by coconut, pineapple, vanilla and palm. Fill your lounge, bedroom and bathroom with the scent of a tropical paradise. If you’re suffering with holiday blues this candle is the perfect pick-me-up to remind you of your favourite beach destination. Warning: may make you want to book another holiday.
