Your Coffee Break dine in style at Beaufort House

Beaufort House Chelsea LondonTo get us in the mood for the razzmatazz of London Fashion Week, we at Your Coffee Break recently visited the historic Beaufort House for a sensational dining experience and delicious cocktails.

Situated on the popular Kings Road in the heart of Chelsea, it is difficult to imagine such a destination being anything less than one of the most fashionable and glamorous restaurants in London. If you didn’t already know, Kings Road bursts with an endless supply of dazzling boutiques, bars and restaurants to keep the London fashionistas and elite content and we found ourselves drawn towards Beaufort House after a day of shopping in this exclusive hood.

Beaufort House Restaurant Chelsea LondonThe House boasts four floors of extravagance, featuring Chelsea’s finest bar and brassiere at the front which offers a varied and exquisite range of premium food and drink. Additional private rooms are reserved for members at the rear, such as the champagne penthouse bar and the club room which can be used for private dining, screenings, presentations and meetings. The club facilities are well-equipped with surround-sound and state-of-the-art screening technology and can cater for any event; whether that is an all-day board meeting, an intimate dinner party, a team offsite meeting, or even a large cocktail reception.

We were in favour of pleasure over business and were not left disappointed, as our evening was teeming with flawlessness from start to finish. Beaufort House is ideally located, easily accessible from Earls Court, Fulham Broadway, Gloucester Road, Sloane Square and South Kensington – all of which are approximately a 20 minute walk away – and a variety of local bus services that venture right to the front door. After a busy day restocking our Autumn wardrobe for upcoming Fashion Week events, we could think of nothing better than a delicious dinner teamed with fruity cocktails in the Beaufort House brassiere.

Beaufort House in London The service staff were instantly welcoming, professional and very skilled, and the interior design is cutting edge, trendy, and comfortable with retro wall-hangings and sophisticated leather seating. The large horseshoe bar counter is lined with stylish, turquoise-topped bar stools and surrounded by wooden, window-view tables; each of which is centre-pieced by alluring menus detailing drinks, wines and food. The oversized windows overlooking the bustling Kings Road serve a dual purpose – not only can they offer the brilliant past-time of people watching, but they also provide the dining room with a delightfully light and airy ambience. Once in a while, a celebrity stops by for a drink or two.

Regardless of the time of day, Beaufort House’s menu offers an assortment of exquisite choices to tantalise your taste-buds and leave you feeling more than satisfied. From their delicious all day brunch menu, which includes granola and fresh berries, scrambled eggs, fruit salad with yoghurt, as well as succulent pancakes and a flavoursome full English, to their mouth-watering lunch and dinner options, such as crisp chicken Caesar salad or dry-aged beef rib eye steak, the chefs exceed every possible expectation.

In regards to drinks, you will find yourselves spoilt for choice, as the cocktail menu, priced at around £8 each, bursts with zesty fruit fusions and champagne-based cocktails which satisfy the more sophisticated pallet. Each drink makes ample use of Tanqueray gin, and Belvedere, Grey Goose and Ketel One vodkas ensuring high-quality and overwhelming taste with every sip. If you prefer wine to spirits, Beaufort House stocks almost 100 different labels; a humbler dozen by the glass include a sauvignon blanc Caliterra from Chile and a Stellenbosch Eikendal merlot.

We struggled to choose between such impressive menus, but after much deliberation, we decided upon the salmon tartar served with wasabi mayonnaise & music bread and the watercress & smoked duck breast salad complimented with celeriac, orange & hazelnut dressing to start, and the roast rump of lamb served with aubergines, spiced couscous with cumin & mint yoghurt for our mains. Each delectable dish erupted with unique and vibrant flavour, and was perfectly enhanced by our Superfruit Sling cocktails which were impeccably mixed by the bar staff.

Whether you are after a quick lunch, elegant dinner or evening of entertainment, Beaufort House is sure to cater to your every need. With exceptional service, enchanting food and drink options and an upscale atmosphere, this luxe bar and brassiere continues to offer the city chic dining experience.
