Breakfast at Bluebird Café

Breakfast at Bluebird Cafe

Every professional woman knows the secret to a successful working day is large coffee and a nutritious breakfast. And when that breakfast includes champagne we’re even more inclined to start our day this way! The Bluebird Café knows exactly how to fuel London’s early risers, their courtyard offering a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of the King’s Road: a moment of delicious diversion before the day begins.

Bluebird ChelseaSurrounded by the sound of playful children and the giggles of old friends catching up, we perused the Bluebird breakfast menu, fighting the urge to ask the waitress if we could just try ALL of the appetising offerings. After much deliberation we opted for the melt in the mouth Eggs Royale and a fruit platter so fresh we wondered if each berry had been handpicked from the vine and brought immediately to our table.

Basking in the glorious spring sun we couldn’t say no to a selection of homemade pastries, which went down extremely well with lashings of butter and jam. If you don’t have time to stop and eat you can grab a freshly baked pastry to go from the food store – Bluebird can help fuel you through your day regardless of your time constraints!

Having enjoyed our breakfast so much we’re hugely excited about being given another excuse to eat, drink and be merry at the Bluebird Café. On Sunday 4th May Bluebird launched its monthly all day party-come-brunch. Whether you’re there more for the breakfast or the lunch side of brunch there will be a dish to suit, from seasonal fruit salads and eggs made every which way you could possibly imagine, to decadent lobster dishes and Sunday roasts. Eton mess made with fresh berries, cream and meringue is also on the menu – we love Bluebird for making breakfast dessert happen!

Whilst having a dance to live DJ sets from 1.30pm keep an eye out for the roving bloody Mary trolleys; it’s always great when a cocktail just appears like magic! And if you really want to get in to the party spirit go for the doughnuts with lemon curd and marshmallow fluff, washed down with a breakfast-themed marmalade G&T. Drinking before midday has never been more acceptable!
