In the heart of London’s landmark casino, Chop Chop by Four Seasons at the Hippodrome will be celebrating its first birthday this October with an exciting new menu introducing new dim sum, buns, cocktails and more, plus, put their fate in the hands of the fortune cookie for a chance to win an array of prizes.
Located on the lower ground floor of The Hippodrome Casino and open from 6pm until 4am, Chop Chop is London’s hotspot for divine duck (named as the best in the world by Financial Times), delicious Cantonese dishes and creative cocktails.
The idea that good things come in small packages is deliciously exemplified with Chop Chop’s dim sum – Chinese buns and dumplings. New on the menu is a delicious selection from Chicken chiu chow and Prawn with sweetcorn dumplings to fluffy buns filled with Spicy beef with sweet potato noodles or Char siu barbecue chicken. These sit alongside barbecued meats, seafood and vegan options as well as an array of noodles including crispy egg and soft egg, ho fun, vermicelli and udon.
No visit to Chop Chop would be complete without trying the Hong Kong style duck. Made to a secret recipe, dried before being marinaded in a special mix of spices and herbs and then fired in a specially built roasting furnace, which distributes the heat evenly around the duck’s body, resulting in its golden crispy outer skin.
Finish up with new desserts, in collaboration with acclaimed Japanese patisserie Sakurado, with choices including the brand’s signature pistachio mille crepe cake, avanilla custard-filled choux bun and yuzu cheesecake.
Debut cocktails include a Jasmine Botanical Tea cocktail, served in a beautiful Chinese teapot and featuring gin, jasmine syrup, lime juice, apple juice and Jasmine tea; a Dragon Fruit Margarita with tequila, Cointreau, dragon fruit syrup, and lime juice and the Pandan Banana Old Fashioned with brandy, crème de banana, pandan syrup and Angostura bitters.
Giving customers a chance to open presents of their own, Chop Chop will be giving every diner a complimentary fortune cookie including words of wisdom along with, for some, a 30% discount voucher for Chop Chop or the casino’s sister restaurants Heliot Steak House and Crepeaffaire.
