Last week, designer Oscar de la Renta was awarded for his work in the fashion industry by the Couture Council. The respected designer was given the Couture Council’s Award for Artistry for his legendary work in the world of design.
Just a week later he was showing off his Spring Summer 2013 collection at New York Fashion Week.
The Collection featured a range of colours from fuchsia to deep blue, to off white to lemon cello yellow. Fresh colours with attitude, perfect for going into the summer with.
The off white cut out blouse, with deep front cut and rose detail fastener is perfect for a clean finish worn with white suit trousers and pointed court shoes. Very sexy, very sleek.
If the deep front cut is too much for you then cover up with one of the tweed with crochet trim jackets in powder blue or off white again.
For something with a little more colour try the fuchia pink blouses with Rose 3D rose detailing, or this chic pink lace top with silk pencil skirt and belt detail.
But it was Oscar’s latest range of couture gowns that stole the show this year, take a look at the amazing black dipped hem skirt, strapless dress with black and gold bead detail along the boddice and down the skirt. It’s effortlessly chic and beautifully crafted just like De La Renta’s usual works of Art. This dress was meant for royalty.
Unfortunately I can’t do the designer justice, but he definitely deserved his award for his services in the design industry.
Oscar, we salute you!
