Yesterday we saw one of the most amazing shows we’ve seen in a long time; countryside-chic outwear, tweed blazers, pencil skirts and classic dresses. Yes, we are talking about the the iconic british outwear brand Burberry.
The Burberry Prorsum collection is one of the most anticipated shows at London Fashion Week. The British design company has always been celebrated for it’s chic designs and their trademark trench coat.
When the fashion elite packed themselves into the catwalk show for Burberry, it was a little odd that the catwalk was showered in darkness with a London skyline silhouette shadowing the back wall. But when the music started, the shutters moved away from the windows to reveal a magnificent light and airy conservatory, with a white catwalk.
The models emerged as any other catwalk, but there was a different feel about the Burberry Prorsum show. As such a prestigious designer, Burberry will always feel different from others at London Fashion Week.
The quintessential british designs turned the classic pencil skirt into something out of your dreams. There were capes, trench coats and bodies, jackets and shorts.
Sounds simple enough but when you throw in the fact that each piece was a different texture and all the colours of the rainbow, we cant imagine how much work Christopher Bailey put in to create this collection.
We love this modern take on the classic Brit trench coat. In metallic sea green with metallic blue sleeves.
Also loving the champagne silk strapless dress with waist detailing, paired with a mini shoulder cape complete with collar in blushing pink. This is what we call perfection!
We spotted Dev Patel of Slum Dog Millionaire, Burlesque Queen Dita Von Teese, Vogue Editor Anna Wintour, and One Direction’s Harry Styles just to name a few.
