Swedish Princess Madeleine Marries New York Banker Christopher O’Neill
If you’ve been anywhere near a television or a newspaper in the last few days, you will know that Swedish Princess Madeleine, the youngest of Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia’s three children and fourth in line to the throne, said yes to New York banker Christopher O’Neill in an extravagant wedding ceremony in Stockholm, June 8th!
The stunning Madeleine, 30, and NY banker Christopher, 38, celebrated their union with roughly 500 European royals, wealthy New York socialites and celebrities in attendance!
It was revealed that Madeleine was wearing a dress by Valentino Garavani. Here at Your Coffee Break we loved the stunning silk organza wedding dress with a lace top and a 13 ft trail. The groom, O’Neill, fought back tears as he watched his bride-to-be walk down the aisle with her father, King Carl XVI Gustaf. Like a fairytale, her gorgeous white gown looked enchanting as it passed the Royal Chapel’s aisle, covered with beautiful Swedish summer flowers. So pretty!
The traditional Swedish wedding march was performed by the children’s choir and preceded with hymns in English and Swedish, and performances by Roxette singer Marie Fredriksson and Broadway’s “Phantom of the Opera” (gorgeous) star Peter Joback. What could be more romantic?
These newlyweds threw one of the most glamorous royal weddings that have mesmerized Europe within the past few years along with UK’s Prince William and Dutchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton!
