The London Lookbook: Vintage treasures

Rosa Hoskins

I usually avoid repetition in my outfit posts, however this vintage leather trench from Cha Cha Cha is so good it deserves another cyber outing. It’s rare to find a vintage item that is entirely immaculate – when buying vintage and second hand you have accept imperfections as path for the course – but this coat is a once in a lifetime find. I’ve paired my trench with a cream pair of Mary Janes and a blouse, both from Topshop. These are old favourites that I’ve turned to again and again to use as a backdrop for my more dramatic pieces. I was given this vintage brown suede skirt by one of my best friends who inherited it from her mother. I love wearing clothes that I have a personal connection to, I find it imbues a look with an authenticity that can not be replicated.

This ensemble is rather more classic than my usual frivolous fare – it’s refreshing to rock a grownup outfit because it makes me feel professional and well put together. I find that wearing classic, streamlined looks makes room for dramatic make up – I love a dark, smokey eye and I’ve used Charlotte Tilbury’s Colour Chameleon eyeshadow pencil in Smokey Emerald.
